Gunnery Training (Chieftain Mk11)

Gunnery Training (Chieftain Mk11)

Bergen-Hohne Tank ranges Germany. was one of the main British Forces bases, a former Wehrmacht facility originally used in 1936. It was the headquarters of Bergen-Hohne Garrison, a large British military garrison for the 7th Armoured Brigade (the Desert Rats) which was part of the British Forces Germany. Today there are 22 firing ranges on the training area used by NATO members.

My painting depicts Chieftains on range 5A annual firing in the 80s/90s. The memories should come flooding back with this one! especially the Gunnery Gods
